LayerZero Power Systems Announces Launch of ePODs Product Line
Chagrin Falls, Ohio (April 1, 2003) LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. has introduced a new line of power distribution products, the ePODs (Web-Enabled Power Distribution System). The ePODs product line is designed to provide static transfer switching with power distribution for data centers with an emphasis on reliability, safety, connectivity, and information centricity. The ePODs product line is available with or without transformers, and offers a variety of flexible configurations that can be easily personalized utilizing modular technologies.
LayerZero ePODs are designed to meet needs of IT environments by offering advanced monitoring functionality and remote access to power usage information, such as metering, alarms, and event logs, to help users optimize their data centers. Designed to be highly accessible with system monitoring software, ePODs utilize open protocols, and offer a wide selection of connectivity options.
As capacities in data centers increase, the importance of being able to reconfigure live distribution systems has become more significant, and the ePODs product line allows for safe and easy configuration through an intuitive 15 inch color touch screen on the front of all units. LayerZero ePODs are designed so that proactive preventive maintenance can be performed without opening the dead front doors, helping to make the data center a safer environment.
The systems are highly configurable, and designed to fit in both new construction installations as well as retrofit data centers.
