The test results demonstrate that LayerZero's 1200 A OPTS product family meets the criteria of High Energy (Type III) Static Transfer Switches. The solid-state switches (SCRs) exhibited exceptional durability, remaining intact without rupturing or shorting during the application of faults with the rated available fault current.
This enhanced survivability of the power stage under fault conditions provides mission-critical sites with the ability to instantly recover from downstream catastrophic faults or failures without the immediate need for repair to the LayerZero OPTS.
